It felt like an adventure playground for adults amid Costa Rica’s breathtaking waterfalls and rainforest. I really enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone, getting all wet and feeling free while rappelling down waterfalls. Definitely recommend this tour if you seek adventure and an unforgettable experience being closest to Costa Rica’s beautiful nature.

I went canyoning for the first time earlier this year, but I could tell this adventure is more advanced right away with more challenging waterfalls/canyons. Not to mention, on all three waterfalls, we experienced three trees that had fallen in various places.

I let Fernando know to treat me like a newbie! He gave a great overview and safety briefing!

Like with any adventure sport do it at our own risk. On my first rappel, I slipped twice with the tree and waterfall taking a few souvenirs home lol. Canyoning is an all in type of sport - one way in and one way out.

Fernando quickly adapted increasing his support and guidance on the next two waterfalls and the entire experience. I welcomed all of it! Even though the slips did impact me, Fernando's professionalism calm demeanor, and added support helped me continue on. Not only that, I quickly found myself laughing immersed in joy in every way embracing it all! I loved having the one on one experience to learn more.

I continued on the extreme adventure without a hitch!

As we drove Fernando told us about the region. ... read more We saw monkeys and learned about the local plants as we hiked. We swam at the base of a waterfall in our own 'private' pristine pool. We did tarzan swinging and cliff jumping and Rosi and Fernando went out of their way to take the perfect pictures of us and made sure everything was absolutely wonderful. I thought it might be a little tame as we had two children that were too young to do the full canyoning tour, but it wasn't! Fernando was always there to help anyone who needed it across rocks and even climbed up a tree to show us some fruit. I'm sure Fernando will make this tour as exciting and informative as you can handle. If I could give this tour more than 5 stars I would!

I went on a guided hike... read more near Corcovado National Park and saw a ton of wildlife! Carlos, my guide, was able to tell me what every spider, snake, and animal was that we came across. I also had a hands on experience processing cacao by hand, which was so fun and something I'll never forget! Cindy was my guide for that process, as well as hiking to a waterfall in the area which was beautiful and super remote! My group had the place to ourselves while we were there. Overall I've had awesome experiences with Tropical Escapade, and will book more tours through them while I'm in Costa Rica!

The hike up to the rappelling was fairly challenging, but Fernando paused a few times during the hike to provide interesting information about various plants along the way. Rappelling down three waterfalls was an awesome experience. Our wives and som other ladies joined us for the Tarzan Swing and everyone had loads of fun with multiple swings out over the jungle. And what an addition it was! Our guide was super friendly, nice, patiënt en showed us so many animals! We even saw a deer, squirrel monkeys, two anteaters and two tapirs! So amazing. We had the best time and we really felt like this was the best ending of our Costa Rica trip as possible.

The jungle was absolutely beautiful and on the hike up Fernando and Cindy told us all sorts of interesting facts about the wildlife and plants and many of their traditional uses by people in the area. Our two teen sons had never done anything like this before and really felt like they'd completed an amazing adventure.

The rainforest is fantastic; our guide made us temporary tattoos with plants, talked about different super interesting medicinal plants, and even had us taste food that Mother nature provides. We were very entertained during the hike, and then we arrived in front of a beautiful waterfall. Our guide told us: that the adventure begins here! He made sure our harnesses were tied and helmets clipped, made a recap of some technical instructions, and we had the most amazing time doing rappelling right in the waterfall jet and jumping down the river. We had the whole jungle for ourselves. I recommend this tour to any adrenaline junkies. We wish we had time to do more adventures; Golfito has much more to offer than we thought. His creativity to have fun with anything he finds is incredible. He also ensured I had unique and amazing pictures of these beautiful hidden gems. From hanging upside down over natural pools, jumping from cliffs, Tarzan swinging with liana, swimming in crystal clear natural water holes, and rappelling powerful waterfalls, I can’t even express the excitement and heart beating moments.
