Driving up the Golfito Rainforest Reserve, there are great possibilities of seeing wildlife along the way. Your guide will pay attention to any noises and sights. Higher you get in this evergreen mountain behind Golfito, the climate changes and become more comfortable and less humid.

Stroll through partially paved trails and explore the back-country. Early in the morning, you can often overhear monkeys in the trees having breakfast, along with the distinctly beautiful sound of the toucans. Great wildlife inhabits this protected rainforest reserve including several endangered species. The most common animals to be seen are toucans, scarlet macaws, white face capuchins, squirrel monkeys and agoutis.

As you continue walking, your tour guide will be happy to share his knowledge of nature, wildlife and the captivating story of Golfito. Reach different vantage points atop the bluff to contemplate the exquisite view of the Golfo Dulce, the Pacific Ocean, the Osa Peninsula, Zancudo and Pavones.

Time to tie your harness and swing! Make sure you have a camera or phone to capture this spectacular moment of you flying 300 meters above sea level. Do it as many times as you want until getting the perfect shot smiling, waving, or even swinging upside down.

If your schedule allows it, we recommend to take this tour just after the sunrise (at 5:00 am) or after 4 o’clock in the afternoon to swing with the sunset. These schedules will increase your chances of seeing wildlife during the tour.
